How I got to know about Paddy O´Brien

I like musik very much and listen mostly to countrymusic and therefore  I will tell  you about this Countrysinger I like very much.
The story beginns with a competition in countrymusic which took place in Norway  1988 and was sent on telli. I videotaped it all . There was a young guy with the name Paddy O´Brien and he sang a song "Life goes slowly by". I liked it very much and since then I have listened to it now and then. About 2 years ago I thought I should look on the Internet if he has a website and after some surching I found it. Then I mailed him and asked if this song could be found on a CD and where I could get hold of it.
A few days later he answered me and said that he was very happy that I liked it and that he had written this song himself. He was very kind and sent me the CD + 2 of his latest.  Paddy has made  20 CD´s and 14 DVD´s and  filmied from different places in Ireland. They are very beautiful.

He has shows nearly every Friday to Sunday the whole year, mostly in Ireland but also in Wales, Scotland and England. Paddy has also been to Nashville USA and he has made a song "Will the circle be unborken" together with Joanne Cash, Johnny Cash´s sister.
There is a list which called " World Indie Chart" where Paddy got in to the 7th place with the song "Chiseled in Stone" and stayed there for 16 weeks.
He writes very fine songs but he also sings songs of Kris Kristofferson, Buck Owens, Elvis, John Denver,  Merle Haggard and so on.
Paddy is also singing Gospel and yodel very good.
